DeskDock was removed from the Google Play Store in 2025 after years of declining support. InputRelay is the modern alternative — built from the ground up with WiFi connectivity, clipboard sync, and active development.

DeskDock was a popular Android app that let you control your phone or tablet with your PC's keyboard and mouse over USB. At its peak, it had over 100,000 downloads on the Play Store.
However, DeskDock relied on Android's Accessibility Service API to inject input — an approach that Google began restricting in 2021. The free version was removed from the Play Store in December 2022, and the Pro version followed in April 2025. The developer moved on to other projects, and DeskDock is no longer maintained.
For users who relied on DeskDock, InputRelay is the natural successor. It uses a different technical approach that doesn't depend on Accessibility Services, works over WiFi instead of USB, and is actively maintained.
No USB cable required. DeskDock needed a USB connection between your PC and Android device. InputRelay works entirely over WiFi — connect by scanning a QR code.
Works on modern Android. DeskDock broke on Android 13+ and never received proper fixes. InputRelay is built for Android 8.0 and above, including Android 14 and 15.
Actively developed. DeskDock's last meaningful update was in 2023. InputRelay is actively developed with regular updates and responsive support.
Clipboard sync included free. DeskDock required a paid upgrade for clipboard. InputRelay includes basic clipboard sync in the free tier.
InputRelay is free to download and use. No USB cable, no account, no hassle.
